Scene 1 – Ariana’s Room
Ariana stands near the bed. A heavily embroidered wedding outfit is placed neatly in front of her.
She stares at it without touching.
Ariana (quiet but firm):
“No. I’m not doing this.”
Her mother stands at the door, watching her carefully.
Mother : “You don’t have a choice.”
Ariana turns sharply.
Ariana (voice rising):
“A choice? This is not a choice. This is forcing me.”
Her mother steps inside slowly.
Mother (controlled tone):
“This marriage is important.”
Ariana (bitter laugh):
“For whom? Me? Or for all of you?”
Silence fills the room.
Ariana looks back at the wedding dress.
Ariana:
“I don’t even know who he is.”
Mother:
“You don’t need to know everything.”
Ariana (hurt, angry):
“I need to know the man I’m supposed to marry!”
Scene 2 – Adrian’s Penthouse
Adrian stands near a large window, looking at the city below.
A man stands a few steps behind him.
Assistant:
“The arrangements are complete.”
Adrian remains still.
Adrian:
“She agreed?”
Assistant (after a pause):
“No.”
Adrian finally turns slightly.
Adrian (calm, almost cold):
“She will.”
Scene 3 – Ariana’s Room
Ariana sits down slowly on the bed.
Her hands are clenched tightly.
Ariana (low voice):
“You’re ruining my life.”
Her mother looks at her, but doesn’t respond immediately.
Mother:
“This will keep you safe.”
Ariana looks up instantly.
Ariana:
“Safe? From what?”
Her mother avoids eye contact.
That silence answers everything.
Scene 4 – Outside the House
A black car stops in front of the house.
Two men step out.
Scene 5 – Ariana’s Room
A knock is heard.
Ariana freezes.
Her mother looks toward the door.
Mother (softly):
“They’re here.”
Ariana slowly stands up.
Scene 6 – Entrance
The door opens.
A man in a black suit stands there.
Man:
“Miss Ariana. It’s time.”
Ariana looks at him, then back at her mother.
No one stops her.
Scene 7 – Outside
Ariana walks toward the car.
She pauses before getting in.
Ariana (under her breath):
“This isn’t right.”
She opens the door and sits inside.
Scene 8 – Inside the Car
She looks up—
Adrian is already there.
Calm. Silent. Watching her.
Ariana stiffens.
Ariana (shocked):
“You—”
Adrian leans slightly closer.
Adrian (low voice):
“You’re late.”
Ariana looks at him, anger returning.
Ariana:
“I didn’t agree to this.”
Adrian doesn’t react.
Adrian:
“You don’t have to.”
Silence.
Ariana looks away.
The car starts moving.
